Meet Our Founders
Dr. Hyong (Ken) Kim
A pioneer in population health, Dr. Hyong (Ken) Kim considers himself a physician first. Most recently, Dr. Kim served as Chief Medical Officer for the Center of Medicare and Medicaid Innovation at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, where he designed and implemented multiple payment and clinical models.
Prior to that, Dr. Kim was co-founder and served as Chief Medical Officer at Alignment Healthcare, responsible for creating and executing the company’s proven clinical model. As one of CareMore’s original physicians, Dr. Kim was a hospitalist and held responsibility for clinical operations in the Downey, Lakewood, and Long Beach clinics in addition to all chronic disease management and mental health programs. He was Chief Medical Officer at CareMore from 2010 to 2013, during which time he worked to expand and replicate the clinical model in California, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Tucson, New York, and Richmond.
Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Kim completed his medical residency at Loma Linda University and holds both a B.A and M.D. from Indiana University.
Dr. Anil Hanuman
Dr. Anil Hanuman comes to Giatros Health and Giatros Clinics with a wealth of experience in primary care across multiple disciplines. Board-certified in Hospice and Palliative Care and a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Hanuman brings a unique perspective to addressing the needs of Medicaid-eligible patients in all stages of life.
Adept at finding solutions, he examines clinical processes and operational policies to identify areas of development and enrichment. Dr. Hanuman’s past administrative positions include chief medical officer, extensivist and national director.
Dr. Hanuman holds a D.O. from the University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri. He interned at the University of Southern California and earned his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of California-Irvine.
Dr. Balu Gadhe
Dr. Balu Gadhe is a board-certified internal medicine physician with over 25 years of clinical experience runs a private practice in Redlands, California.
Previously, Dr. Gadhe has held various medical management positions at
CareMore/Anthem, including chief of clinical services, oversight of employed specialists, integrating specialty care with primary care, oversight of institutionalized patients, and management of various business lines. Dr. Gadhe had helped create several programs
to manage patients with multiple chronic medical conditions including dementia, congestive heart failure, chronic kidney disease, COPD and many more.
As a practicing clinician, Dr. Gadhe focuses on managing patients in his office practice, assisted living, independent living and memory care facilities.
Dr. Gadhe received his medical degree from the University of Southern California.
